LD Bell Steppers

History

In the beginning, the Step Team was only a dream. A few determined students got together with some willing and dedicated faculty and pitched their ideas. Mr. Hearn, Mrs. DeBord and the first season of LD Bell Steppers worked hard and worked long. They practiced outside when they had to. They went to every pep rally and gave it their all. Car hops & car washes were only a few of the fund raisers that this amazing group held to raise the money they needed to buy uniforms and compete.

The Mesmerizing Ladies have firmly established themselves in the Tarrant County stepping community as a force to be reckoned with. G-Phi Smooth Gentlemen Steppers are climbing the ladder of prestige and recognition as well.

The step program at LD Bell continues to strive for excellence both on and off the stage, including not only their stepping performances but exemplary behavior and grade performances as well.

G-Phi Smooth made their mark this season, winning Stomp Wars for $5,000 and also making it out to Las Vegas for call backs on America's Got Talent.

The Mesmerizing Ladies, competed at the college level and blew the competition away, winning 1st place and beating every other college level team at the show.

The Mesmerizing Ladies also performed at half time of Slam Jam to help raise money for the Mavs Foundation & Heros Baseball, as well as performing at Mount Rose Church to help raise money for their youth program. Both teams participated in gathering toys for the Toys for Tots program at the holidays.

All in all, it was an amazing year for the Step Teams of LD Bell.

This year has been ever changing & challenging and as usual, our steppers gave everything they had and rose to the occasion. The Bell boys team combined with the Trinity boys team to form Hollywood Steppers. This merger gave the guys a boost of much needed energy and they went on to have a great season.

The Mesmerizing Ladies had a very solid season also. They have not won as many first place trophies as in years past but they have developed some innovative steps and demonstrated their tenacity as a team.

As with every season, the LD Bell Step Teams are focused on more than just stepping. At the Christmas holiday we held a canned food drive and gathered more than 300 items to be donated to a local charity to feed the hungry. The Mesmerizing Ladies stepped at theTarget HR convention to help motivate the Target employees to reach their goals and both teams stepped for a local church bizzare to help raise money for the church.
